Intro to OpenWebStudio at CT DNN User Group

Wednesday, March 17, 2010 by Cuong Dang

If you are new (and have never heard of) to Open Web Studio, be sure to mark your calendar for Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 6:00PM EST for a crash course to this powerful module builder for DotNetNuke framework.

Kevin Schreiner, Chief Software Architect at R2integrated, talks about his brainchild OpenWebStudio (OWS.)

OWS is a robust tool used for building data bound forms, modules, utilities and more. Anyone, anywhere can use OWS to create bullet proof solutions quickly and easily. This demonstration will cover three major topics of OpenWebStudio.

First, an introduction to the platform, demonstrating what it can do, and why you would want to use it rather than classic .Net development practices.

Second, a demonstration of building a standalone module from the ground up directly within the confines of your DotNetNuke site. The samples will reveal the capabilities of the platform to a greater degree, allowing a basic understanding of the interactive structure of the framework.

Third and finally, a demonstration of building a module meant as an extension to an existing third-party module.

The meeting will be hosted by the Connecticut DotNetNuke User Group at Laticrete International.
