JET Magazine Project Launch

Jet magazine, the #1 African American newsweekly published by Johnson Publishing Company, Inc., offers a unique Black point of view on the latest news and entertainment. With over 7 million readers of the printed magazine, Jet recognized the necessity for an online presence and came to R2Integrated to help fulfill that need. With a short deadline and a limited budget, Jet wanted to create a unique online space for their readers to both read and interact with their constantly changing content.
Utilizing the R2i Content Module, we were able to provide Jet with a solution that met these needs. MyJet247 features blogs, polls and user submitted content which creates an engaging and stimulating user experience. In addition, a key piece of integrated functionality was for the site to incorporate existing videos being hosted on the Brightcove video server. Lastly, the Jet site had to incorporate dynamic ad spaces which could be modified easily and support various ad servers.
Future releases plan to continue to build and focus on expanding the user generated content and user interactivity opportunities.
