proLogic, a Free DotNetNuke 5 skin package

This is a long overdue project since I came on board with the team at R2i. I’ve always wanted to use my knowledge the community has taught me and contributed back by doing similar effort as this free skin package. However, time didn’t seem to allow me to accomplish it since other priorities always pulled me in.

Luckily, I was able to free up some of my time recently to complete this project so everybody can now download to use for free.

You’ll find my newest effort to the community contribution is an XHTML/CSS compliant DNN skin package called proLogic. It is designed and developed using web standards with optimized markup for search engine and performance advantages.

proLog is currently compatible with DotNetNuke 5.x and was tested against major modern browsers, it includes:

  • 3 skin files (Home, Details, Editor)
  • 2 containers (Simple, No Title)

Since the announcement of Google Font API, I’ve always wanted to try it out and leverage some of the advantages it provides.

In this skin package, you’ll see the typeface called Droid Sans I used for major headings of the skin. It is quite fun to work with the Google Font API and is extremely easy to integrate. I hope to spend more time on this to create some more awesome skins in the future.

For now, you’ll see only one color option available for this package, but I plan on releasing a few more to give flexibilities to others who aren’t quite a fan of this specific color scheme. So stay tuned!

Go ahead and give it a try, it's FREE!
