Dynamic content localization has always been one of the shortcoming features of many web content management systems not only in open source world but for those commercial systems as well.
This common assumption has changed since DotNetNuke released a beta version of its very own dynamic content localization feature in the community version. If your organization is a multi-lingual company and is currently running DotNetNuke, you might want to check out the new awesome feature that is coming in DotNetNuke 5.5.
Although currently it’s in beta but the official release is well on its way. There are rumors saying the new version is due in the beginning of the fall this year. But if you wish to see the actual release time to be shortened and the software being ‘bug-free’, please join the DotNetNuke community to help out with testing the current beta version. There are many people are already doing it by either testing the framework against their modules or just plain building a test site in multi languages.
Anyhow, here are a few conversations going on around the community and some of them are quite educational and they might give you better understand of the feature. I highly recommend you read more about these blog posts and view some the videos so you can hold off on your investment in having a customized localization solution for your websites. Enjoy!
