I’m very pleased to say that the first Day of DotNetNuke conference in the Midwest region of the United States has been announced! The event will be held just outside of Chicago, IL on October 2nd 2010. The event is being organized through a joint effort between the St. Louis DotNetNuke User Group leaders, myself and Cuong Dang, and two leaders from the Chicago DotNetNuke User Group, Jim Nagy and Don Gingold. We are all very passionate about our community and extremely excited to be able to put together an event such as this.
The audience for the Day of DotNetNuke is pretty varied. We intend to feature speakers on a broad range of subjects that are targeted both DNN experts and newcomers alike. There will be valuable sessions for both long-time DNN community members, and those that are new to the community as well.

The Day of DotNetNuke Chicago will be sure to feature distinguished speakers from throughout our community to share their knowledge in the various areas of the DotNetNuke world: design, mobile, development, administration, services and ecosystem. The call for speakers will be open soon, so if you or someone you know would like to present - stay tuned.
In addition to the great knowledge sharing and networking facilitated at the conference itself, attendees will be invited to a DNN After Dark after-party that will provide a great socializing and networking opportunity. As members of an all-too-often virtual community, the value provided by these types of events can be invaluable.
Make your plans now, and see you in Chicago!
