Genesis Rehab Services (GRS) is a premier provider of physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and wellness services for the geriatric population. Genesis Rehab Services’ highly-trained clinical team provides therapy in more than 800 sites across 23 states and the District of Columbia.

Business Challenge

As an organization that serves more than 80,000 patients per year, GRS is challenged with recruiting therapists while facing of a shortage of allied health professionals. In order to strengthen their brand as a leading employer, GRS sought to create an online portal that would serve as a helpful resource for the therapist community. After evaluating several web design agencies, Genesis HealthCare’s Information Systems organization selected R2integrated as the technical partner to build the new site due to R2i’s extensive DotNetNuke development and creative design experience.

R2i Solution

R2i began the project by interviewing therapists to assess their needs for a portal. In addition to current news and a means to connect with other therapists, finding opportunities to fulfill educational requirements was a necessity.

Recently launched in August 2009, Rehab.com is working hard to be the preferred on-line community for information and resources related to physical, occupational and speech therapy from both a care provider and patient perspective. The site keeps visitors continually informed of the latest news through RSS feeds. Additionally, Rehab.com features a YouTube integration which provides quick access to videos such as rehab success stories.
