DNN 04.08.04,Listx 01.09.94.
I'm trying to duplicate your Hospital example of a list/detail edit and save. I can edit OK, but when I save, the debug suggest it executes the sql statement but there is no effect. I replace all variable with real data to make sure it wasn't the variables. Here's what the debug look like:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
* If '[Action,QueryString]' = 'Save'
o 'Save' = 'Save' = True
o Passed: Handling child actions.
o Executing
+ Execute Query[UpdateVacation]: UPDATE lynx_sub SET VacationStartDate='1/1/2009', VacationEndDate='2/1/2009' Where SubID=1080
# Skipping (indentation beyond parent scope).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~```
I can copy and paste this into Management studio and it works great. Your Hospital example works, and below the Hospital Execute Query, additional debug buttons appear to show the Original/actual etc. of the executed statement - but not on mine.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One more quick question, the module ID's of the list and detail are defined in variables lxEdit and lxList and used in the lxFetch routines -it's great to define them in one place but where are they defined- I can't find them?
Thanks.
For the moduleID variable definitions, check the module headers.
Regarding the update query, I don't see anything obvious from your post that would prevent it from working but if you don't see the Original/Actual/etc debug lines I'd say something is amiss. Would you care to provide the configuration?
