HOW do i link to HTML Anchor item from Main DNN Menu

I've got a rather interesting request (or challenge)

I have a client using DNN 2.X and is asking if it is possible to make a menu item
(such as the Main DNN Menu) link or redirect to an html anchor item on a page.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to do this?
Note: Upgrading DNN to 3.x or 4.x is not an option at this time(D'OH!)

Please RSVP with some solutions or work-a-rounds i might try.

Thanks to the Forum in advance. Or whom ever may have a suggestion on how i can make this work.
