All I want is to display a simple Google Map based on a KML file.

From what I have seen this module cannot do that. Does anyone know of a simple solution?

I know I can pass the URL for a KML file to Google Maps and it works fine, but how can I embed that into DNN.

Thanks for your help.

Hi drewmister,

I am not aware of any hacks to display a KML file in GoMap. If you come up with a solution, please let us know!

Well, I was curious about this too and since google provide the code, I tried it and discovered that this can be done with a standard text/html module;

here's one I cooked earlier as an example:

(Hoping the code shows rather than the map)

<iframe width="600" height="450" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" src="http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&s=AARTsJpj1kglaWrRjmaUx9g6IQz807MN7w&msa=0&msid=111995825443040819542.000456286cfe4bcbd52ef&ll=51.779005,-2.592044&spn=0.074344,0.145912&z=12&output=embed"></iframe><br /><small><a href="http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=111995825443040819542.000456286cfe4bcbd52ef&ll=51.779005,-2.592044&spn=0.074344,0.145912&z=12&source=embed" style="color:#0000FF;text-align:left">View Larger Map</a></small>
