Hi guys,

I created a new XML file to store the data for one of my maps, and figured I could download the XML file and edit it manually to add new points etc - however, when i open the XML file, its all in chinese? Can anyone help me?

kylane,

* What version of GoMap and DNN are you running?
* Have you installed any additional language packs on your DNN site?
* What is the main language on the computer from which you are managing DNN?
* If possible, what is the main language on the server running your DNN site?

Thanks,
-Eric

Running latest versions of each. I have 2 new DNN installs, and they both have chinese characters in the XML files. Seem to work and all, but whne I download the XML file from the server and open it up in Dreamweaver, its just all chinese script.

Base langauage pack (English US)
This machine is all US english based (Mac)
Server is all english too.

Ill drop you an email.

As far as I can tell, this is client side issue with your mac. I will try to have a team member on a mac take a look into this and try to reproduce the issue. The XML file I received from you via email did not have any odd characters, so it appears that there is some character encoding problem going on.

Thanks,
-Eric
