I installed DNN using SQL 2005 Express, but when I open the database manager for SQLExpress the DNN DB isn't in there. So, I imported the Northwind DB to be able to do some of the ListX examples and I am unable to connect to the Northwind DB just by specifying SELECT * FROM Northwind.dbo.Employees.

What do I need to do to connect to the Northwind database imported into SQL Express 2005 installed on the same system as DNN?

Should I just switch to SQL 2000 so all this looks like I am use to?

YOu might want to check to make sure the user in your web.config file for DNN has full access to the Northwind db you created.

If I were using SQL 2000 that would be an easy answer. The problem I am having is that SQL 2005 Express is different. There is no username specified in the web.config.

I figured it out. I needed to specify a connection string in the Connections field:
