Importing XML from older versions

When I imported the XMl from one of the examples from your site into the 1.7.4. version I got a message stating I was not authorised to edit the ListX module. I think this is caused because in the older version it was not possible to set the access rights from within Listx so this information is missing in the XML.
The only thing I could do was remove the module as I could no longer enter the "View options".
