I never see the code in the editing window.

Makes it hard to edit it.

The problem you are experiencing is due to the fact that you are looking at a base portal.css file - which by default in DNN is only stubbed, not populated. You will need to add code to the elements before the CSS/Editor can actually display that code - because code must exist before it can be provided. Try opening the default.css file in the default portal directory - it is prepopulated by the DotNetNuke framework. The Default css is overridden by attributes you set in the portal.css. When no attributes are assigned - default provides all attributes.

Happy Nuking!

I am having the same problem.  I realize I am not loading the right css file, but how do I do that?  I'm afraid the explanation was a little beyond me...can you speak very plainly about how to upload the right css file?  Please assume very little prior knowledge.  Thanks.

Please select the drop down and choose the CSS file. Once the named CSS File is selected click the 'Load' button to the right. this will present all the styles that you can then work with. Remember to click the save button.

I do that (select the css file and then load it) and the file does come up but then I can't edit it.  When I click nothing happens.

I'm having the same problem - DNN 4.5.5. I load a CSS file but clicking on the classes does nothing. I try to add a class but the pages refreshes and it dissappears. I can't seem to save any classes into exsisting files. Actually the demo here behaves exactly the same - http://www.bi4ce.com/tabid/99/default.aspx.

Am i missing something?
