We need a file-upload with listx to a remote-server-share "Example: \\myserver\myupload$\myupload.zip" how we can realize this?

We receive allways the followed error:

--------------------------------------------------------------
Saving to Path:
Unabled to save target file path: System.ArgumentException: The path is not of a legal form.
at System.IO.Path.NormalizePathFast(String path, Boolean fullCheck)
at System.IO.FileInfo..ctor(String fileName)
--------------------------------------------------------------

We have tested also to use a virtual directory and use this path but we receive here the same Error!

Best Regards

Has anyone found a solution on how to reference files that are on a network share outside the portal installation, from ListX? I am trying to email some files on the network share as attachments and it is not working.

Thanks,
Chhavi

We have found an Solution for our Customer.

1.Create a VirtualDirectory in you DNN-Portal-Installation and Connect this to the needed Networkpath (\\myfileserver\myshare$)
2.Set the needed Permissions for writing on the Share and FileSystem on the File-Server for the User MyDomain\MyWebServer.
3.Create the Action File with the followed example parameters.

Action Type: Action:File
Source Type: Variable
Source Variable Type: <form>>
Source: frmFile
Destination Type: Path
Destination: /MyVirtualDirectory/MySubDir/[frmFileName.Form]

The SubDir 'MySubDir' is optional but we use this in our Implementation.

Hope this helps!!!
