I am looking to set up a simple search page that redirects to another page with the variable in the url string(no sql query is involved)

. My html is as follows:

<div>quick search
<input type=textbox id=frmSearch1 name=frmSearch1 value=""/>
<a {ACTION,[frmSearch1,F],search,[FORMAT,"Search",{TABID}],Q}>Search</a>
</div>

Is there any other step I need to do as I am getting the url

as www.something.com?search=

the text entered input form is not getting passed.

If the link is next to the frmSearch1 field and you're trying to pass the contents of the field this will not work. Reason is, the [frmSearch1,F] token is read by the server and not the browser so at the time of rendering the page there wasn't a post or field value present to include in your action. If you need further assistance it would help me to know if you're trying to pass the field to a custom search page, which contains another ListX module, or is this going to the DNN search results page.
