If I use the [LOCALE] tag in a ListX module with Ajax interaction enabled the [LOCALE] does change if I select another country. If I turn Ajax off it works fine.

Hi knopfler,

I was checking the syntax and the following does work with ajax enabled:
[LOCALE,App_GlobalResources/GlobalResources.resx,MESSAGE_PORTAL_TERMS.Text]

Otherwise could you post your listX configuration?

Thanks

I would prefer not to post the xml so I will mail it to you. As far as I can see I have it implemented like your example.

Hi knopfler,

As a follow up, did you fix your issue? I never received your email.

The issue is still unresolved. I sent you a mail using the form in the forum. Do you have the correct mailaddress in your profile? If you give me your mailaddress I will send you the configuration.

Thanks.

We identified the issue. To avoid this problem, prefix your path with '~/' .

[LOCALE,~/App_GlobalResources/GlobalResources.resx,MESSAGE_PORTAL_TERMS.Text]

Thanks

I'm experiencing the same problem with version 1.9.9 and tried your example by adding '~/' to my path but it still fails to switch locales while using AJAX.

In my configuration I am doing one thing different. I've added the path of my RESX file to an Action variable. Here's my example: [LOCALE,[RESX_Locale,Action],Label1.Text]

Have you checked debugging to make sure your action variable has the value you think it should?

Thanks

Yes, I've even placed it on the Form for viewing. Even if I don't use the Action variable and hardcode the path per the instruction given above I get the same results.

Also Dave... When checking [LOCALE] vs. [Language,Cookie] this is what I get when AJAX is enabled...

LOCALE: en-us
COOKIE: es-MX

When I disable AJAX I get this...

LOCALE: es-mx
COOKIE: es-MX

Thanks!

Hello,

I'm also having this problem with AJAX enabled. The [LOCALE] returns only 'en-us' although I have a totally different default language enabled in Site Settings.

Was this issue ever corrected or is there a workaround. The workaround above does not solve the problem

Yes, this is a known issue with Listx. We are working on a solution and will post it to snowcovered when we have it.
Thanks,
